Herb Cooking Class with Heather Artripe

April 13, 2019 @ 11:00AM — 12:00PM Eastern Time (US & Canada)

After Jenny Dietzel's Herb Walk around Tri Cycle Farms, join Heather Artripe of Ozark Natural Foods for a deliciously herb focused class. In this class we will talk about a few common herbs that are easy to grow at home or that are readily available locally. We will talk about what herbs pair well together, other dishes that pair well with them, as well as how to store them so you get as much use out of the herbs as possible. This class will be packed full of flavor. Some herbs that will make an appearance are cilantro, parsley, mint, rosemary, basil, dill, thyme, just to name a few. We will also be making a couple easy dishes that are vibrant in fresh herb flavor.

About Heather:

Heather Artripe works at Ozark Natural Foods. She has been there for 10 ½ years and has been teaching cooking classes at the Co-op for the past 6 years. She learned to cook the old fashion way, standing on a chair in her Granny's kitchen starting at the age of 4. She has been cooking her whole life with the guidance of her peers, her family, and her friends. Her favorite culinary herb would be an even tie between rosemary, basil, dill, parsley, and cilantro.
